  1. I did. I ususally don’t spring for big, pricey box sets, but Low, Heroes, and Lodger are among my favorite albums by anyone. Scary Monsters is a step down but still good. Stage has a checkered reputation. The criticism is valid, but I like it anyway, perhaps because I saw him on that tour and enjoyed the show. There is too much repetition in the box set, but the book is maginficent, at least pictorially. The notes are informative but elicit much eye rolling: Tony Visconti wrote them and never fails to shed light on the stupendous contributions of Tony Visconti.
