Bach and some other baroque composers loved to end minor key pieces with major chords. Not sure why. Maybe it was a “don’t go shoot yourselves, everything’s going to be ok” move. Then the sturm und drang/classical/romantic guys came along and said, “nah, go ahead and shoot yourselves.”
