A friend recently made a reference to Lancelot Link, and it went right past me.
You’d think I’d have heard of a secret agent / rock star chimp!
Are you bastards fans?

Oh yes, I watched it devotedly. Might also explain some things.
According to Wikipedia, the writers were veterans of both Get Smart! and The Carol Burnett Show, and they were given a huge budget for the time. There was no way it wasn’t going to be good.
I’ll take Bonana over Bonanza any day…unless the latter has been dubbed into German. (Russian is even better, but I couldn’t find it on YouTube.) The theme song is much better in German as well.
I remember my dad joking that he couldn’t tell the difference between the Evolution Revolution and a human rock band.
I have fond memories of watching Lancelot Link with my dad on Saturday mornings. Just looked up air dates and I’m almost positive we caught the rebroadcast in 1972 . I was three!
Bonanza ruled the syndicated airwaves in 1970’s Spokane and I watched it almost as much as Star Trek. No complaints. Little me found it compelling.
Also, a steady diet of:
Gilligan’s Island
Bewitched
The Munsters
Hogan’s Heroes
My Three Sons
1960’s shows suspiciously unavailable to 1970’s monkeystador:
Get Smart
The Addams Family
Twilight Zone
Lost In Space
The Avengers
No Brady Bunch? Shame.
Or Partridge Family?
I watched those all the time, but I couldn’t remember if in syndication or on regular TV.
Now that I think about it, it must have been syndication in the mid to late 70’s.
