I have found AI useful for certain tasks, but overall it reminds me of a really dumb assistant. You have to tell it everything, and all it can do is summarize a limited amount of information without the ability to recognize disinformation. An article I read recently pointed out that LLM’s are probabilty engines rather than reasoning engines, which explains a lot. And I’m not sure how they can learn basic common sense, which, off the top of my head, would seem prohibitively contextual.
