Mothersbaugh Speaks

A rather interesting interview here on the always interesting Aquarium Drunkard with Bastard hero Mark Mothersbaugh. To misquote Makerbot, how many hours in a day does this fucking guy have?

  1. Yeah, this is fantastic. And cool blog/website.

People paid to have us get offstage. They’d say, here’s your fifty dollars, and we’d go no, we have another set. They’d say no that’s okay, don’t need the second set.

  2. I loved the part where Bowie and Eno were arguing over credits. Eno wasn’t the first or last to feel somewhat used by him.

Speaking of Eno, someone was telling me about a pretty good documentary about him on Prime. Any of you seen it? Came out in 2011, but somehow I didn’t notice it.

    1. I have not, but probably will have by the end of the day – thanks!

Bowie is a fascinating case. Although certainly talented musically, perhaps his greatest skill was recognizing the next big thing and then partnering with the right people who could get him from here to there. “Partnering.”
