There’s no picture of the most interesting of all of them – the 12-string Fender Mando-Guitar he used on “September Gurls.” The closest I can find online is something called a Mando-Strat, but it only has eight strings …
I can vouch that Mitch Easter is correct. The white strat had a pearly finish. Great article, I love equipment overviews like that. As for the mando, I guess no one was hanging around taking pictures that day. That’s understandable, since very few people knew or cared about BS back then.
