What I love about this is that not only is it a jab at the typical TED talk formula, but it’s in itself a meta demonstration of how important your appearance, cadence, tone, gestures, and overall confidence and eloquence are to public speaking, almost more important than your actual content.
Oh God. My company sent me and a few people I worked with to a guy who was TedTalk famous for his talk about the “why” of why we do shit. This was followed by us having meetings to discuss and formulate our “Why.” I made it to two meetings then just literally skipped the rest and ignored it all, and it eventually went away. Stupidest shit ever, and it was full on this guy.
