Holy shit, I love this show beyond all reason. Season 4 of Better Call Saul is underway, and I’m ready to talk when you are. At this point, I’d be hard-pressed to pick a favorite between BCS and Breaking Bad, and I read somewhere the other day that Vince Gilligan isn’t ruling out other spin-offs.
I stopped after Season 1. Does this make me a bad person?
The worst. You did finish Breaking Bad, right?

I couldn’t get into it. I loved Breaking Bad. Loved it. This one didn’t do it for me. Maybe try again? Does it get going after the first 2 episodes?
It absolutely does. There’s usually several different stories chugging along with the ensemble cast, and the way it all fits together is total genius. One of my favorite things about Better Call Saul is that the writers do a lot of showing, not telling. So viewers may not understand a character’s motivation for something he or she did until an episode or two later, but it’s always air-tight.
If I had a gripe about the show, it would be that Gilligan and company really struggled the first season to work in references to Breaking Bad that didn’t feel like one coincidence too many. (“Of all the houses in Albuquerque, he randomly knocks on THAT GUY’S door?”)
But now I’m good.
