I don’t know who can listen to the famous opera “The Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini without thinking of Bugs Bunny. The way director Chuck Jones synchronizes the slapstick action to the soundtrack is flat-out masterful. pic.twitter.com/t58QbRsmmw

The original punk.
Those have been required viewing at the Renfield household. Brilliant.
Funny how the autocratic counductors of times past were well-known enough to be parodied in cartoons. They’re much nicer nowadays, but not one is a household name.
These cartoons are so burned into my brain that both my kids, as babies, got to hear me sing “The Rabbit of Seville” hair tonic motif while washing their hair.
Most sung of these at my house was “kill the waaaaabbit.”
