  1. As a non-native New Yorker, I can confirm that the locals held Max’s in high esteem.

    I would have been too young to have seen Renfield at such a bold venue during the time in question, which only makes him that much cooler.

    1. I was 19-20, so I guess none of you guys were clubbing age. Not cool at all, just a southern upper-middle-class army brat and music dork. One did see cool people hanging out and playing there, though.
